Novalysis
Novalysis is our Microsoft 365 migration planning platform. It discovers, assesses and tracks the migration of users, mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Groups across Microsoft 365 tenants — at enterprise and NHS scale.
It’s deployed from the Azure Marketplace as a managed application directly into your own Azure subscription. Your tenant data never leaves your environment, and you retain full control of the data plane. There’s no shared multi-tenant database, no cross-customer data mingling, and no “trust us” posture — the architecture is built so that we can’t see your data, not just that we won’t.

- Full tenant discovery via Microsoft Graph, with incremental delta sync to stay current
- Workload scoping across users, mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint sites, Teams and Groups
- Migration waves and task management with real-time collaboration via SignalR
- AI-powered assistance for data analysis, communications drafting, and risk assessment — all running on Azure OpenAI in your subscription
- Communications campaigns for end-user change management, linked directly to migration scope
- Role-based access control with Admin, Analyst, Viewer, Comms and End-User roles enforced centrally
Architecture
- Hub-and-spoke model: centralised API Management in our tenant handles routing and JWT validation; customer data plane runs entirely in your Azure subscription
- Per-domain managed identities with least-privilege SQL access (ReadOnly / ReadWrite / Admin tiers)
- VNet-integrated Function Apps with Private Endpoints for SQL, Key Vault, AI Search and SignalR
- Entra-only SQL authentication — no SQL logins, no connection strings with credentials
- Per-customer Entra app registrations for cryptographically-signed tenant isolation
Who it’s for
Novalysis is designed for organisations running large, complex Microsoft 365 estates — particularly those with regulatory obligations that rule out SaaS migration tools that send data to third-party infrastructure. NHS trusts, universities, financial services, local government.
